Classical Pilates Method
Most Pilates today reflects fragments of Joseph Pilates' original work. Before it became a trend, it was a complete, interconnected system designed to develop a uniformly strong and flexible body.
In addition to our classical approach to the Pilates method, instructors are trained to work with osteoporisis, Parkinson’s, joint replacement and other conditions. Sessions are safe and efficient whole-body workouts with therapeutic or corrective considerations based on your needs.
Our instructors are certified in the lineage of Romana Kryzanowska, protégée of Joseph Pilates.
You’re invited to experience the method as it was designed: rigorous, restorative and remarkably effective. All fitness levels are welcome in our inclusive studio.

The Gyrotonic Method
Developed by Juliu Horvath, the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® uses pulley towers and specialized apparatus to support your body through spiraling, three-dimensional patterns that restore mobility and coordination.
Our instructors have received advanced training in breast cancer rehabilitation, osteoporosis and neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, ensuring you can build build strength, flexibility and agility safely and effectively.
In addition to client instruction, Somaspace hosts GYROTONIC® Austin Central, a training center directed by Master Trainer, Amanda Vernor. We offer the complete suite of Gyrotonic equipment, providing an authentic experience of this transformative method.
