Somaspace offers instruction in Classical Pilates, honoring the original work designed by Joseph Pilates.
Pilates is often first experienced as a mat workout, although the method also features apparatus to help inform the mat work. Joe designed and built the reformer, cadillac, chair, barrels and others to provide support for various exercises, and left us with classical repertoires for taking full advantage of each piece.
My studio features Gratz apparatus, which is built based on Joe’s original designs.
